About
Having always been drawn to travel, I decided in 2015 to set off to discover the lush green lands of Ireland.
The Au Pair stay quickly appeared to be the perfect solution, offering full immersion at a low cost an important point for the student I was.
I settled in Dublin, where I had the privilege of meeting an exceptional family with whom I developed an almost fusion-like relationship. The arrival of their fourth child during the year added even more excitement (and challenge, admittedly) to the adventure.
I loved living in this international and multicultural environment, which for me took shape both within the family and while watching Rugby or Hurling matches, supporter’s shirt on my back, or around a pint of beer at the Ivy House or Temple Bar with my new friends.
This experience strengthened my deep conviction that international exchanges foster open‑mindedness and tolerance. I witnessed touching acts of solidarity during the dark events that marked 2015.
My integration into my host family and into Dublin’s cultural life in general made me want to promote this experience without which, I would never have discovered so much about Ireland and its people. I also gained confidence and filled up on optimism in this country that values positivity.
